At the Birchmere Retirement Residence, we offer our residents the opportunity for gracious, independent retirement living. Assisted care is available, if needed, and our second floor has been designed specifically with increased care needs in mind.
Birchmere is located in the "Sunshine City" of Orillia on the west shore of Lake Couchiching next to Couchiching Beach Park. It is only minutes from the downtown core, and we can accommodate short term, convalescent, vacation or permanent stays.

My name is Jackie Payne and I have been the Administrator at our Orillia residences since 1990.
As a registered nurse I have worked with seniors in the long term care sector for many years.
This can be a stressful time for seniors and their families as they make the decision to move into a retirement residence. It is our goal to assist people and help to make this transition as seamless as possible We would love the opportunity to provide a tour and complimentary lunch or dinner.
